Ecosoft
ECOSOFT is a programme for the ecological assessment of built structures and buildings. It is based on the MS Office application EXCEL and was developed by the IBO, the Austrian Institute for Healthy and Ecological Building.
Calculations in ECOSOFT are based on the IBO building materials database, which currently comprises more than 500 building materials (guide values) and is constantly updated and extended.
You can choose between the versions ECOSOFT 4.0, ECOSOFT 4.0 San and ECOSOFT 4.0 EI (please find details in the order form). ECOSOFT applies to residential construction subsidisation in Salzburg, Vorarlberg, Styria, Carinthia and Lower Austria, to the building certification systems klima:aktiv haus, TQB, IBO ÖKOPASS and Municipial Building Certificate Vorarlberg.
In the software package currently available useful life and envelope boundaries were implemented and the usability was improved. Depending on the chosen variant, it contains example constructions and constructions from the IBO catalogue "Details for Passive Houses".
The following ecological indicators are specified (depending on the chosen variant):
- Global Warming Potential (GWP)
- Acidification potential (AP)
- Primary Energy Content, renewable and non-renewable (PEI e, PEI ne)
- Production of photooxidants (POCP)
- Eutrophication (EP)
- Eco-index OI3 BGF, OI3 BZF, OI3 lc
for the envelope boundaries 0 to 6 as well as for new construction, refurbishment and disposal.
