EU taxonomy

The EU Taxonomy Regulation is an essential building block in the EU's transformation towards climate neutrality. However, it also supports measures for climate change adaptation, biodiversity conservation and promotion, and the circular economy. Its primary goal is to direct financial flows towards more sustainable, environmentally friendly and resource-efficient economic activity. A classification system with technical assessment criteria supports declaration and creates a high degree of transparency for ESG reporting. In the real estate sector, economic activities such as new construction, renovation, acquisition or ownership of buildings can be declared as taxonomy-compliant.

Your advantages:

  • Simplified access to sustainable capital
  • Expected increase in property value
  • Minimisation of investment risk (lower risk of value loss)
  • Comparability of buildings in the portfolio (benchmarking)
  • Fulfilment of ESG reporting obligations (CSRD, SFDR)
  • Transparent and standardised sustainability assessment
