natureplus quality seal

The IBO is a founding member of natureplus e.V., natureplus Testing Institute and the natureplus Contact Point in Austria. The European natureplus® quality label was developed in 2001 to promote sustainability. The quality label provides consumers and construction professionals in all European countries with a way to identify products for sustainable construction. The natureplus® quality label is an environmental label in accordance with ISO 14024 (only in german) and is awarded to building products that meet the award criteria regarding

  • risks to the environment and health posed by chemicals (Chemicals Directive)
  • Timber Harvesting and Origin
  • Nature Conservation in the Extraction of Mineral Raw Materials
  • Transparency and Social Responsibility
  • Low-Emission Building Products
  • Climate Compatibility and Energy Efficiency
  • as well as the product-specific requirements of the respective product guidelines.

You can find more information on the natureplus association as well as the certification system at natureplus.org. The natureplus®product database lists all products certified by natureplus®. It contains information on the most important product-specific data and test results for product ratings.
