Franz Dolezal is an Austrian scientist specialising in sustainable construction and building acoustics. Working at the Austrian Institute for Construction and Ecology (IBO), he has made extensive contributions in the fields of timber construction, sound insulation and environmental assessment of building materials. His research includes innovative approaches to the use of wood in sustainable buildings, particularly with regard to their acoustic performance and ecological assessment. Dolezal has published numerous professional articles and books dealing with environmentally friendly construction methods.

Extensive scientific publication activity in the field of sustainable timber construction and building acoustics. He has participated in numerous conferences and presented his research on sound insulation, wood as a sustainable building material and building certification. Some of his work has been published in journals and conference proceedings, including the International Wood Construction Forum, Bauphysik, Acoustics and Building Engineering.
