The VELUX Sunlighthouse in Pressbaum is Austria's first CO2-neutral detached house in construction and operation. This scientific project shows that energy efficiency can be combined with an exceptionally good indoor climate - with lots of daylight and fresh air. The Sunlighthouse aims at a holistic view with the focus on the health and comfort of the residents. A special feature is a building-integrated photovoltaic system, formally attractively combined with roof windows and solar collectors in an innovative pitched roof solution. Sunlighthouse reaches Plus energy standard. Austrian State Prize for Environment and Energy Technology 2010
