The new building for the St. Pölten District Administration was awarded 1,000 of the 1,000 klimaaktiv points. The new building, including the district building office and the connecting building, comprises approx. 3,760 m2 of above-ground floor space and houses the offices of the BH and the Gebietsbauamt III. The building was designed as an energy-plus building, which is made possible by a high thermal quality and the overall energy concept. Groundwater heat pumps ensure the building's heat supply. The waste heat from the commercial refrigeration system is also used via a heat recovery tank. The photovoltaic system with an annual yield of almost 30 kWh/m²BGF also contributes to a resource-efficient building. An installation of mechanical ventilation systems with high-quality heat recovery systems (WRG) was implemented.
