eco2soft – quick and easy eco-balance calculation
Among other things, eco2soft enables the calculation of the Oekoindex using life cycle boundary 3 and the waste disposal indicator. These key figures form part of the assessment for the municipal building certificate. They have become a relevant factor to consider, particularly in buildings with low energy consumption. The grey energy in buildings is now often just as high as the energy consumption for heating and cooling. For this reason, the calculation of the Oekoindex is required throughout Austria in the context of funding schemes or certification schemes.

To make the preparation of life cycle assessments quick and easy, baubook has developed eco2soft, a specialised calculation tool. eco2soft can be used independently of other calculation programmes. This enables its use in research and teaching as well as in professional practice.
eco2soft specialises in creating life cycle assessments across all the assessment boundaries required by the Oeko-Index.
Using the key figures PENRT, AP and GWP100 total – which are required in addition to those specified in the Oekoindex – all other common environmental indicators can be calculated, such as the eutrophication potential (EP), the ozone depletion potential (ODP) and all primary energy indicators.
