Karl Landsteiner, an Austrian Nobel Prize winner in medicine, is the patron of the new private medical university on the Krems campus (Danube University Krems and the IMC FH Krems). The new building is thus well embedded in existing infrastructures.

In the north there are covered bicycle parking lots, the southern, lower lying area serves the development for fire brigade, garbage and the individual traffic with parking lots. In terms of energy efficiency, a sophisticated system with component activation and heat pumps/refrigeration machines was chosen. This ensures a draft-free feel-good climate that ensures a stable temperature all year round. The rooms are very well provided with natural daylight. An external product management system was used throughout the entire project to meet the demand for ecologically and hygienically compatible construction methods.
